Fees and insurance
Money shouldn't be the reason you don't get help. Here's how it works.
Insurance we accept
We're in network with most major plans, including Idaho Medicaid. Plans our therapists currently bill include:
The one plan we can't bill is TriCare. Coverage can vary by therapist, so if your plan isn't listed or you want to be sure, tell us your insurer when you reach out and we'll verify it for you. You can also see our current plan list on our Psychology Today profile.
Therapists who take Medicaid in Boise
Yes, we take Idaho Medicaid, and not as an afterthought. Several of our therapists see Medicaid clients for individual, couples, and family therapy, and for children and teens. For clients with Medicaid we also offer Community-Based Rehabilitation Services (CBRS), which adds practical, in-community support alongside therapy. Tell us you have Medicaid when you reach out and we'll match you with a therapist who is in network.
What a session costs
If you're using insurance, you'll pay your plan's usual copay or coinsurance. If you're paying out of pocket, sessions range from $80 to $135 depending on the therapist, the type of session, and its length. As an example, a standard individual session with Jennifer Arzola is $135. We'll confirm your exact rate before your first appointment.
We accept cash, Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Health Savings Account cards.
Affordable options
Money shouldn't be the reason you don't get help. If you're paying out of pocket, or your insurance doesn't cover therapy, you still have options:
- Sliding fee scale. A discounted rate based on income and family size, using the federal poverty guidelines. Bring proof of income and we'll set it up. No one is turned away because they can't pay.
- Reduced-rate sessions. Lower-cost appointments with select clinicians, including sessions with our supervised counseling intern. These usually have the shortest wait.
- Flexible payment arrangements. If a single payment is hard, ask us about spreading it out.
To apply or ask questions, mention it on the contact form, email admin@tvmhtherapy.com, or call 208-479-1116.
Good faith estimate
If you're uninsured or choose not to use insurance, you have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate of expected charges before your first appointment, under the federal No Surprises Act. Just ask.
Ready when you are.
Reaching out is the hardest step. The rest we'll figure out together.
