Anxiety therapy in Boise
Racing thoughts, a chest that won't unclench, nights spent rehearsing tomorrow. Anxiety is the most common reason people come to us, and one of the most treatable.
Does this sound familiar?
- You worry about things you know are unlikely, and can't make it stop
- Your body is on alert: tight chest, racing heart, trouble sleeping
- You avoid situations, people, or decisions because of how they might go
- Panic shows up out of nowhere, or you're afraid it will
- You feel on edge, irritable, or exhausted from holding it together
- You've tried to think your way out and it hasn't worked
You don't need to check every box, and you don't need a diagnosis to reach out.
What anxiety therapy looks like here
We start by understanding your anxiety, not just labeling it: when it shows up, what it's protecting you from, and what it costs you. Then we build skills that work in real moments, not just in the therapy room. You'll leave sessions with something to practice.
The approaches we use
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to catch and change the thought patterns that feed worry. Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and mindfulness for calming a body that's stuck on high alert. When anxiety has roots in past experiences, EMDR, Accelerated Resolution Therapy, and somatic work can resolve what talking alone can't reach.
What you can expect
Many people find the work starts to shift how they respond: fewer spirals, quicker recovery, more room to breathe. The goal isn't to never feel anxious. It's to stop anxiety from running your life.

Common questions
Do I need a diagnosis to start?
No. If worry or stress is getting in the way of your life, that's reason enough. Your therapist will help you understand what's going on as you go.
How long does anxiety therapy take?
It depends on you and what's driving the anxiety. Many people see meaningful change in eight to sixteen sessions. Some come weekly for a stretch and then taper to check-ins.
Can I do anxiety therapy online?
Yes. We offer telehealth by video or phone anywhere in Idaho, and you can switch between online and in-person sessions as life changes.
Does insurance cover this?
Most of our clients use insurance. We accept most major plans, including Idaho Medicaid. If you're paying out of pocket, we have a sliding fee scale. See fees and insurance.
