Anger management in Boise

Anger isn't the problem. What it's costing you is. Whether you're here on your own or because someone you love asked you to be, you'll get practical tools and a therapist who will be straight with you.

Does this sound familiar?

  • You go from calm to furious faster than you can catch it
  • Arguments at home keep escalating, and you regret what you said
  • Anger has cost you a relationship, a job, or your reputation
  • You feel tense, irritable, or resentful most of the time
  • You want to be a calmer partner or parent and don't know how
  • You want to stop the cycle before it costs you more

You don't need to check every box, and you don't need a diagnosis to reach out.

How anger counseling works here

We start with your pattern: what sets you off, what happens in your body in the seconds before you lose it, and what you're really reacting to. Then you learn to catch anger earlier, calm your body down, and choose a response. You'll get concrete strategies you can use the same week.

What's underneath

Anger is usually a cover for something else: stress, shame, feeling disrespected or powerless, or old experiences that taught your nervous system to fight first. We use CBT and DBT skills for the moment-to-moment work, and trauma-focused approaches like EMDR and Accelerated Resolution Therapy when past experiences are driving the reaction.

What to expect

No lectures. A place to be honest about what's actually going on, and a therapist who won't flinch. Understanding your own pattern is usually the turning point.
